Large Format

Though easy to dismiss in the age of convenient digital image-making, large format photography remains relevant and fascinating to me. I get significant satisfaction in watching my students become interested in something old when I demo this technique in class. Most of them have never seen an 8x10 camera before. The sheer size of the camera, big ground glass, lighting, and being in the moment with the big, big camera creates a deeply impactful moment for my students.
